As an Actuarial Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in our Individual and Family Plans (IFP) product line team. Collaborating with fellow actuaries, you’ll drive product strategy and pricing for ACA on-exchange individual products. Serving as a trusted advisor to actuarial and health plan leadership, you’ll ensure that program rates are competitive, sufficient, and grounded in actuarial principles. Your analytical prowess will be crucial in supporting rate setting, encompassing competitive and network analysis, risk assessment, trend forecasting, and more. You’ll be tasked with translating these insights into strategic decisions impacting premiums and product offerings, while also mentoring emerging actuaries.

Primary Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining actuarial models
- Preparing experience analyses
- Preparing regulatory filings
- Assisting in the development of financial forecasts and projections
- Collaborating and communicating results and technical concepts to various stakeholders

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics, or related field
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or near-ASA
- 4+ years of actuarial experience
- Prior actuarial experience in health care
- Advanced or higher level of proficiency with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with SAS and/or SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior actuarial experience in developing program rates and pricing methodologies
