Job Summary

As the School Production Operations Specialist, you’ll be tasked with supervising, organizing, and managing the technical aspects of control rooms for school productions nationwide. Additionally, you’ll handle any special projects required throughout the year.

Your role involves providing technical expertise to both production and operations teams, aiding in the evaluation and planning of capabilities across college campuses. Your insights will be instrumental in ensuring smooth-running productions and maintaining top-notch technical standards.

Qualifications Required

  1. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of the latest advancements in equipment technology and procedures. They should possess comprehensive knowledge of organization, procurement, finance, and logistics as they pertain to show creation. Additionally, familiarity with computer training and its application to new technical equipment used in remote events is essential.
  2. Experience in electronics for broadcasting, encompassing video, audio, RF, lighting, videotape, and maintenance, is crucial.
  3. A minimum of 7 years of broadcast experience, particularly as a field technician or primary specialist at a university producing high-quality events, is required.
  4. Proficiency in High Definition is necessary, along with expertise in computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  5. A solid understanding of television electronics principles, including HD and SD formats, video acquisition, media recording and management, transmission methods, signal routing, television audio and communication systems, and IP systems, is essential.
  6. The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of procuring technical equipment required for live broadcasts.
  7. Effective communication and leadership skills are vital, along with the ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions on-site. Flexibility to travel as needed is also necessary.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Advanced technical school or engineering courses specializing in electronics or radio/TV.

The salary range for this remote position spans from $128,576.00 to $189,750.00 annually, accounting for variances in geographic regions.
