Job Description

This role involves leading the design, deployment, and scaling of production AI systems as a primary technical decision-maker. You will be responsible for owning the entire lifecycle of a project, from initial model design to full enterprise integration. Working in small teams of 3–5 senior builders, you will build ambitious software from 0 to 1 for high-profile clients. This is an independent contract opportunity that offers precision matching with missions in LLMs, Computer Vision, and ML infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in LLMs, Computer Vision (CV), or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Deep experience with ML infrastructure and model fine-tuning.
• Prior experience scaling applications to millions of users or handling billions of requests per day.
• Experience shipping AI products at unicorns or building enterprise-grade AI platforms.
• Professional background at elite tech firms such as OpenAI, Google, Meta, or Amazon.

Required Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering and AI.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining production AI systems that are currently live.
• Demonstrated ability to act as an AI Architect, building out complete enterprise AI stacks.
• Strong technical leadership skills with a focus on balancing architecture with business outcomes.

Work Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, deployment, and scaling of production-ready AI systems.
• Collaborate in small, senior teams to build ambitious 0→1 software solutions.
• Scope, propose, and execute technical solutions with full ownership of the outcomes.
• Partner directly with founders, CTOs, and product leaders to solve complex technical challenges.
• Maintain technical decision-making authority over model design and enterprise-level integrations.

Salary Range

$120 – $170 /hour
