- Perform comprehensive IT audits and SOX IT General Controls evaluations, thoroughly documenting findings, analyses, and conclusions in work papers.
- Work together on planning IT audit engagements, which includes interviewing stakeholders, evaluating processes, assessing controls, and developing audit objectives, test plans, and scope definitions.
- Support SOX IT projects by examining IT processes, identifying risks and controls, and conducting ITGC tests to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Help internal audit teams review IT-related risks and processes in various business areas to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in system implementation and process improvement projects to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide internal audit management with regular updates on testing progress, audit issues, and project timelines.
- Follow up with clients to ensure agreed-upon action plans are implemented and track their progress.
- Keep updated on the latest IT and security developments, trends, vulnerabilities, and threats to maintain expertise and provide informed advice.

Required Qualifications in Lumen Careers
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related business discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, risk consulting, or external audit, focusing on IT risk management and control assurance.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in IT audit, SOX control testing, data analysis, and reporting. Skilled in data mining techniques and tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including control owners and internal partners.
- Work Environment: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving departmental objectives through teamwork and collaboration.
- Key Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate critical thinking in complex situations.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and audit software (HighBond). Experienced in programming languages (SQL, Python) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Background: Preference for candidates with experience in a large accounting firm or a multinational corporation.
- Certifications: Holding a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is highly desirable.

Compensation for this role varies based on the primary work location, with salaries ranging from:
- $80,510 to $107,340 in AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD
- $84,740 to $112,980 in AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY
- $88,980 to $118,630 in CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI
- $93,210 to $124,280 in AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
