Job Description
- Oracle is transforming the software tools utilized by first responders and law enforcement agencies daily.
- Leveraging our extensive investments in cloud technology, data management, communications technology, and AI, we aim to provide first responders with tools that empower them to make more informed decisions, ensuring greater accountability and safer incident resolutions.
- In line with our mission, we are actively seeking a Public Safety Platform Product Manager. This role involves crafting the strategic technological foundation for the entire Oracle Public Safety Suite (OPSS) and encompasses a broad, cross-functional leadership position.
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with subject matter experts across product management, sales, and consulting to drive our mission forward.
Responsibilities
Establish strategic vision and direction.
- Create, enhance, and implement our product strategy, focusing on the development of integration and migration plans with various public safety software vendors, government databases, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem.
- Craft and refine the value proposition for the Oracle Public Safety Suite, identifying strategic avenues for growth. Collaborate closely with six peers in product management, the VP of Product, the Business Unit GM, and senior executives at Oracle, including the CEO/CTO, to explore and seize new opportunities.
Drive commercialization and go-to-market.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing leaders to enhance our product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approach.
- Take the initiative in crafting sales and marketing materials, including both video and written content, and also develop sales presentations.
- Thoroughly examine and guide sales presentations designed for potential clients, ensuring they effectively convey the unique value of our offerings.
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the launch of International Sales for the Public Safety offering. This involves conducting internal presentations via Zoom to Oracle team members globally and engaging with potential customers during early discovery meetings. The customer base includes Heads of State Police, State Health and Public Safety, and Cabinet Members.

- Lead the Solution Consulting team, ensuring they possess the necessary depth of product knowledge and technical expertise to effectively present the product and convey the Oracle narrative to clients in the context of product development.
- Shape and enhance our strategy for implementation consulting, reflecting our commitment to transforming the delivery of enterprise software to public sector customers.
- Collaborate closely with the Implementation team to guarantee precise configuration of the product, aligning it with clients’ requirements and expectations.
- Collect and prioritize valuable product feedback from frontline consulting teams, collaborating with leadership and the development team to implement necessary modifications or enhancements.
- Guide customer communications throughout the implementation process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients.
Understand customer needs and achieve product-market fit.
- Build a profound understanding of client’s requirements by engaging with them, conducting market research, gathering user feedback, and analyzing the competitive landscape for the Public Safety Platform Product.
- Take charge of defining the product needs and shaping the roadmap based on the insights gained.
- Collaborate closely with a high-caliber team of engineers and designers to create compelling software solutions that effectively address customer needs.
Drive strategic alignment and cross-team collaboration.
- Take the initiative to coordinate and lead continuous product-related and cross-departmental activities. Actively engage with customer concerns and requests, assisting in the assessment and prioritization of fixes and features.
- Effectively communicate product priorities throughout the organization, utilizing both data and qualitative judgment to ensure clarity.
- Establish suitable team-wide goals and metrics for features, and refine them based on post-launch results.
- Present comprehensive updates and results for the entire product to the business unit, fostering transparency and alignment across the organization.
Qualifications at Oracle
- Possession of a BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant functional area is necessary. While an MBA is not obligatory, it can prove advantageous, depending on accompanying work experience.
- Strong preference for world-class management consulting experience.
- A minimum of 8 years in software engineering, product management, management consulting, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing is beneficial.
- Demonstrate a robust executive presence with the ability to influence collaborators, achieve strategic goals, and shape product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
- Knowledgeable about Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), modern software design and development principles, and emerging technology trends.
- While not mandatory, confirmed experience in law enforcement/public safety can be advantageous.
- Leadership experience in product management is a valuable asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of product management experience, including successfully shipping complex B2B/B2C products from concept to launch, preferably at a leading tech company, startup, or consulting client.
- Possess at least 3 years of business, design, and tech competence, enabling effective discussions with sales, designers, and engineers.

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
